You are in I-O-W-A!

It's late and not historically accurate, but I can't help but sing whenever I think about it. So everyone, sing along!

We can be cold as the falling thermometer in December
if you ask about the weather in July!
And we're so by-darned stubborn we can stand touching noses
for a week at a time and never see eye to eye.

But we'll give you the right
to marry who you wanna
and be gald to see
you walking down the aisle.

Anyone know of a song that references Vermont? I am singing about that one now, too.

I though you prefered Iowa.

We say it sometimes...but we don't like anyone else to.

You can eat your fill
of all the food you bring yourself.

Thanks a lot....It's stuck.

I can give you one about Gary, Indiana.

Pennies in a stream
Falling leaves a sycamore
Moonlight in Vermont.

Icy finger waves
Ski trails on a mountainside
Snowlight in Vermont.

Telegraph cables, how they sing down the highway
As they travel each bend in the road
People who meet in this romatic setting
Are so hypnotized by the lovely...

Evening summer breeze
Warbling of a meadowlark
Moonlight in Vermont.

Sung by Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles and many others.

Yay for Vermont!

What is it about Iowa and Vermont anyway?

OOOOOH! I love that Vermont song.... now I have to figure out how to fit gay marriage in one of the verses.

Suggestions?

Okay, start singing....

Pennies in a stream
Falling leaves a sycamore
Moonlight in Vermont.

Icy fingers wave
Ski trails down the mountainside
Snowlight in Vermont.

Wedding bells ringing, lovers sing down the highway
As they travel each bend in the road.
People who meet in this romantic setting
Are so hypnotized by the lovely...

Evening summer breeze
Warbling of a meadowlark
Moonlight in Vermont.

(Does that help, Muriel?)
