Screw the rules. No one left to tag, so here's my stuff.

1. When I was “little” people called me Winchell. I was fat (Numismatist, please don’t argue). I had a roll of fat around my neck that made me look like I swallowed a donut, so people called me Winchell. I kind of like it.
2. I have always dreamed of singing on Broadway. I still like to practice in my car.
3. I have had three babies with no medication during the birth. Lest you think I am some sort of granola woman who believes in an all-natural, organic birthing experience let me share this: I do not breast-feed (my breasts are strictly recreational), I watch movies through the entire labor (mostly SNL until the end when I need calm and beauty, then it’s Sense & Sensibility), and I love, love, love percocet after the birth – it’s the only reason I have babies!
4. I said the “F” word in a high school assembly. I still feel guilty about it.
5. I was a cheerleader in high school, and like the Duchess, am very proud of it. I acted like a goof, but I looked hot and it scored me Mr. Eris.
6. I do everything in patterns or even amounts. I cannot leave a list partially finished – it must be exactly half-finished or completely done. I eat M&Ms in even numbers by color order (red, yellow, green, blue, brown); if there is an odd number, I give the left-overs away. This is true of all my activities – it must be symmetrical, by height, by color, chronological, or in some sort of order that makes sense to me.
7. I actually like going to church, and I’ve liked it since I was 14. This is probably because in my family, the best way to rebel is to go to church and be a good girl, so that’s how I stuck it to my parents.
8. I bare no resemblance, whatsoever, to the family I see most. At family reunions or events in Utah, I look adopted and people can’t remember my name because they think I’m an in-law. But in California, I can be identified instantly be people who knew my family 40 years ago but have never met me. It’s rather odd.

Now, since the Duchess tagged me and the only other blogger I know – the PG Meemoo – I am changing the rules a bit. Anyone who reads this, including the Numismatist, Big Sis, Fry Sauce, etc., should comment back with at least three random facts.

I can’t wait to see where this goes…

At least people recognize you at those CA reunions. I just get looked at funny, like they are supposed to know me, but they're not sure why.

1. The only thing I miss from high school is choir. I kareoked' (spelling?) for the first time last night. It was a duet of Tim & Faith with a guy I work with and totally adore.

2. Unlike my sis, I look just like the family I see most and look like the adopted in-law with the other. Weird how two people the came from the same genetic pool could be SOOOO different.

3. As mentioned in #2, we are TOTALLY different. I don't know the first thing about politics, she couldn't sew a pillow case!

4. Eris and I have many different types of siblings. Are you ready for this? 1 full (that would be each other), 1 half, 1 step and 3 step-step. Our family tree is more like crab grass, not sure where it ends or begins.

5. Snagged my husband when very fat and pregnant, told him I liked scary movies! NOT!

6. Although I love dogs more than anything, I think that I resemble a cat. I like things my way, want to be fed when I meow and I could and would sleep anywhere, anytime, even all day long if I could!

7. I would love to sky-dive!

8. I already know what songs I want played at my funeral. I know, and have known for years, what book I want read at my funeral, just ask my kids, they can tell you.

I could go on and on.

here goes:

1. I like cats, but only under my terms. They must be kept in the house (sorry Duchess..) and I must touch them only when I want to, not when someone else wants me to. Also, they must not shed. Or jump on anything higher than my knee. Or make noise. They are really cute when they play with balloons, catch mice and hide behind the couch when I come in a room.

2. When I married my political hubby 16 years ago (can it be that long?) I didn't know the difference between a Democrat and a Republican. Until six years ago I didn't know who was an elephant and who was the donkey. I have always leaned farrrr to the right but didn't know which box to check.

3. One of my biggest fears is that when I "check out" there will be unfinished projects found in my sewing room. I guess that is a product of aging, which is not a nice thing.

4. I love to multi-task and my shoes are often in the bathroom.

5. I love chocolate. Oh wait, everyone knew that!

6. I am afraid of bears. But that only happened an hour ago when I had a terrible nightmare. That also explains why it is the middle of the night and I am on this computer trying to not think about bears!

7. I often wonder where some of us would be if I had gone to Hawaii in 1973.

Hmmm. Came up with seven when you only asked for three!

Hey, it was 2 in the morning when I wrote it!

Thanks for pointing out my glaring error!

Tell me what it is I am supposed to do and I will gladly participate!

Ok, great sauce. In a nutshell, you're just supposed to share some things about yourself that we might not know.

I'm waiting.

Okay, I can do that... I think.

1- I've grown up and realized that I spend most of my life trying to avoid the "bad" things my father has done, even though I adore him and admire him in many ways. I think like he does, so I spend time trying to not act like he does some of the time.
2- I think some of my love for our local city here comes from that Men are from Mars tendency to want to fix things. My whole life I have always enjoyed video games, board games, etc. where the point of the game is to create something from nothing and make it the greatest place on earth (see Sim City, Civilization, Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, and many sports games these days). In short, I like to create worlds (Yeah, that's right, I said it!)
3- My most forgetful/memorable moment was when, as playing catcher in high school, I chased a pop fly behind the plate full speed and ended up running, full speed mind you, into the backstop of Lindquist Field. But lest you worry, I came up first the next inning and hit a double while still being in a very hazy state of mind and still seeing stars everywhere.
4- Speaking of sports, I give them much of the credit for making me the good, solid person that I am. Sports were my life growing up (I was scared of girls until Mrs. Sauce came around) and they taught me leadership, competitiveness, humility, work ethic, and the value of failure (because I struck out with two outs and a guy on third A LOT!).
4- Along those lines, failing in sports many, many times has helped me learn to perform in the clutch because I am not naturally a person who is good in those kinds of situations.
5- Mrs. Sauce has taught me to like musicals and theater. I like it because it is usually thought provoking and generally requires analysis to get the "real" point. I actually credit her for making me a very well rounded person, even though her family is more informal than anybody I have ever met.
6- Talk about crazy families- I have a mom, a step-dad, a dad, two ex-step mothers (one for two months), two older sisters, one half little sister (from my father, but who my mother regularly tends), three step-siblings, one niece and one nephew through marriage, three more nieces, one more nephew, and an adopted daughter.
7- I got in a debate recently about Transformers and how, as the youngest and only boy, my childhood cartoon memories circulate more around Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, and the Care Bears than The Transformers, G.I. Joe, or The Thundercats.
8- I love my wife, my daughter, the rest of my family, my church, Brazil, Work, Guitar Hero, and Costa Vida in an order somewhat similar to that, but yet not too close as to get me into any inadvertent trouble.
9- I have spoken enough!
